    LOOOOOOOOONG DAY COMIN'....
So, I've been away from a computer for a very very loooong time. But I'm back at Delta, so there is computer access yet again! Yay! I'm back in touch with youses!

Well, a lot (and oddly, at the same time, very little) has happened since I last posted. Due to losing one friend, Bianca, I have now lost 75% of my friends because she has persuaded them to cease all communication with me, except of course my best friend in the whole world Marisol, who will never leave me, and her boyfriend (who is a splended chap), Moses. Oh, and Ruben. (yes, the one I had "relations" with, but not anymore...we're only friends...barely...semi-complicated, but not really. Confusing? You bet.)

So...screw Bianca. But not literally, because to much delight (to me and Marisol, I imagine not to her) we've learned she has Chlamydia, which actually might be good because the bitch definitely doesn't need to procreate. Just sayin'. Am I catty? Damn right!

As for my romantic life, well...don't get me started!.....>_>.....

Alright, I don't have one. There. Satisfied? Cuz I'm not!

As for all else...well, frankly, I'm not much satisfied there either. I'm searching for another dead-end job to get the bills paid for now, and I'm trying to pay off the funds that I shouldn't owe to shitty Delta. All while living back at my grandmother's house, which is now also vacated by my mother, two younger brothers, my aunt Debbie, and my darling sweetheart-of-an-uncle, Eddie. If you didn't get that last bit of sarcasm, just kill yourself now, for the world could do without an idiot such as yourself.

But I must say, very strangely, I find myself doing quite alright. I feel confident that I will come out on top, and I'm ready to find a new playmate in the sack, whether it be male or female. (I quite fancy both)

Well, this is all I have to offer from my life for now, and I promise that the next post will be shorter than 6 months away from today. *crosses fingers...lol...j/k*

    With love and chocolate, Tye

P.S.- Go see The Simpsons Movie and Superbad if you have yet to see these gems. You won't regret either.

    My Life....or Something Like It
Updateness finally! So...I'm moving back in with granny cuz she needs taking care of. It's no burden to me, I'm happy to do it! And it gives me a little break from constantly seeing my friends, who I love like family (even more than most of my real one), but they're dramatic lives can often interfere too much with my constantly dramatic one.

    But I digress.

    Now...on to the juicy stuff!

    o.o

Well...they're really isn't much. Ruben and I...well...they kinda isn't a Ruben and I any longer. You see...I went up to Ione for a while, and this resulted in me not seeing or talking to him in a month. They're was some cross communication, and we both ended up thinking we were mad at each other. We weren't. However, Ruben moves quickly (ho, lol), and he's been "seeing" Josh. Ugh. Remember the ungodly horrifying husband of our cousin Misti, Colt? Well...he super reminds me of him, so I hated him instantly. But no matter.

My best friend Marisol finally broke up with her train wreck of a boyfriend Richy, but like Ruben, she also moves fast. Now she has a new man. And my former roommate and still current best friend Bianca is officially with Poncho. All of this makes me very happy (minus the bit about Josh + Ruben), but I must confess that they're love and happiness has made me bitter. Oh wells...

Luckily I have Marisol. She's trying her damndest to get me and Ruben together... (like, officially...like a couple). I'd be perfectly fine with that! I mean...er, that's cool. o.o

Oh, and Marisol has made me her 'Seeing Eye Gay'. I love it.

Well...til next time (which hopefully won't be as far apart as my last post)...

    -Tye!

    OMFG!!!!
"Kimba the White Lion" is the best thing in the entire world. Breezy, you must (MUST!) see it!!! It is the most hilarious thing in the world!!! You can't watch it alone...OMFG, I wish you were here! Me, Weston and Bianca are dying!!! We've called everyone we know, and we're making them all watch it. I can't wait until you see it. The theme song...the voice acting...the animation...all hilariously fantastic!!! I seriously wish you were here right now.

    OMG! NOSTALGIA TIME!
So, Breezy...remember KIMBA: The Lion!? How we would laugh at how incredibly stupid it looked? Well....guess what I found for $1 at Wal-Mart. That's right: Kimba the Fucking Lion on DVD! I bought it (it's apparently two episodes of the series that they claim inspired 'The Lion King'), and before I even watch it, I'm mailing it to you. I hope you enjoy it.

P.S.- Where should I send it? Either way, I need your address again cuz I lost it.

    Calling It Quits...(sort of)
So, Ruben and I have decided that from now on we should just be friends and see what happens down the line. That being said, we can still kiss each other on a whim, but that's it. We both decided that it was for the best to not try to begin a bizarre relationship, and that we are barely even friends. We're gonna just go with the flow and see what happens. I'm okay with that, and I think it's the best thing we can do right now to avoid any awkwardness.

    Hmm...Random Harry Potter thoughts...
My friends and I were recently discussing who should direct the last two Harry Potter films. We came up with the following two directors who I think are absolutely perfect for the job.

Alfonso Cuaron- This Mexican director (who already directed 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban', arguably the best of the four) has the talent and the passion. He's expressed much love for the characters and the universe that J.K. Rowling has created. His most recent film 'Children of Men' should have earned him an Oscar nomination, and showed off just how far his talent can go. If they do bring him back, they can't go wrong.

Guillermo del Toro- The director of 'Hellboy', 'Blade II', and most recently the fantastic 'Pan's Labyrinth', del Toro knows his way around fantasy films, and especially dark ones. Book 6 takes the 'Potter' franchise to it's darkest places, and most are predicting that Book 7 (the final one) will be the darkest. If anyone has the resume for this job, it's him.

If I had to choose, I think Cuaron can bring depth to the disappointing sixth book 'The Half-Blood Prince' and turn it into a film to remember, and I would say that Guillermo del Toro will fit the bill for 'The Deathly Hollows', the final chapter of the 'Harry Potter' saga that guarantees the deaths of two un-named lead characters. I sincerely hope it turns out that way.

    New Beginnings and Returning Favorites..
So far 2007 has been an interesting year for me. I'm moved out, I have a new relationship (with a MAN, lol), I'm getting thinner (just sayin'...losin' weight! Holla!), and I've found (or been found by) some long-lost friends from Elementary and Junior High School. I'm hoping that 2007 stays on the course it's going, cuz I'd really appreciate my life throwing me a good year every now and then. Although, cuz I'm not use to it, I kinda fear the good shit expecting that something horrifying will happen to balance it out. *knocks on wood* And now I'm superstitious.

Awww....drunk Ruben gettin' down with his familia! Awww....drunk Ruben gettin' down with his familia!
He was sooooo drunk. But he was adorable and hilarious, none-the-less.
Oh, this adorable drunk bastard. So here are some adorable things he said yeasterday when putting his name in place of other words used in ads: "Hungry? Why wait? Grab a Ruben." "Tough on grease, gentle on Ruben." "Got Ruben?" "At Ruben, have it your way." "Oh, hungry? Oh, Ruben." "Have you had your Ruben today?" "Where's the Ruben?" "Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you're Ruben." LOL. He's too frickin' cute!!

    Blah Things...
Man, lately I've been really wanting to take a roadtrip. We've been having really nice weather, so I've been trying to get outside more often. Me and most of my friends have really been wanting to go to the beach for some reason, and I can't see why not (besides the weather still being a bit too cold, but whatever!). And on top of that, it would just be really nice and it's a bonus that the beach just happens to be Ruben's favorite place in the whole world. (Side-note: the whole thing with Ruben was a misunderstanding, and that was cleared up thankfully. Though on an even further to the side note, I met Ruben's family (none of which know that he's gay) and, do to him being drunk for his birthday (it's common as they're all a bunch of beaners, lol), I had to endure watching him try to slyly hit on me with such ridiculously bad ideas like putting a glass up to one side of his face to try to sheild his other winking eye from his mom and sister also sitting at the table... Yes it was hilarious, but kinda scary!). Anyways, I've just been plain flat-out bored here lately, and I'd much rather leave ugly Stockton for at least a day or two. Hopefully that happens.

    Anna Nicole Smith Is Dead
Anna Nicol Smith has died. She was found unconcious on the floor of her hotel room (presumably a drug over-dose), then was later confirmed to be dead. She leaves behind a young baby not even a year old, and has lived a tragedy this past year with the death of her 20-year-old son Daniel and the conspiracy over her young daughter's real father (which that case is still pending). I might have been annoyed by her, but I really feel sorry for her young child and the tragic year she had in 2006.

    R.I.P. Anna Nicole.

    Review: Pan's Labyrinth
Pan's Labyrinth is a Spanish languauge film set in 1944 Spain during a civil war. It tells the story of young Ofelia (played beautifully by 12-year-old Ivana Baquero) who has a wild imagination spawned by the many fairy tales she reads. When her pregnant mother Carmen (played with strong emotion by Adriadna Gil) decides for them to move to the Spanish country side with her new husband Captain Vidal (Sergi Lopez, creating the most ominous figure of the film in Captain Vidal), Ofelia discovers both the darkness of war in the real world, and the dark that can be found in fantasy. Other great performances that need to be mentioned are Maribel Verdu as Mercedes, Captain Vidal's maid, and Doug Jones who plays both the faun Pan who's labyrinth Ofelia stumbles into, and the creepy and disturbing Pale Man, a hideously scary creature that Ofelia encounters that feasts on babies and young children. This film is rated R for launguage, but mostly for the strong gore and violence, and such frightening scenes such as a torture scene and the previously mentioned scene with Pale Man. However, in all of this darkness is a fantastic film, one of the best I've ever seen, and it's written and directed with such craft and beauty by Guillermo del Toro. It also has a great score and wonderful cinematography. But the heart and soul of this film lies in Ofelia, and great credit must be given to the young Ivana Baquero who creates a girl that is mysterious, pretty, adventurous, brave, sad, but above all else is real. It must be said that this year (2006) has proved that Dakota Fanning is becoming obscolete. Baquero, along with Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine) and Keke Palmer (Akeelah and the Bee) have shown that child actors can be great without looking like child actors; they can become a character and make them real. See Pan's Labyrinth for yourself and discover that sometimes fantasy and beauty can exist in the cold, dark real world.

    Review Score: 10/10

    Finally watched 'The Illusionist'
'The Prestige' was far better in every way. Directing, writing, acting, cinematography, art direction...everything. Edward Norton was good as usual, and Paul Giamatti was decent, but Jessica Biel was just horrible. The whole film kind of just came off as cheesy compared to 'The Prestige'. There's some stuff that I liked (Norton, some of the plot points) but just not enough to really even recommend watching it.

    Short Film Script
    Untitled Short Film

    Cast:

    Adam- Ruben Silva
    Sarah- Bianca Kim
    Rick- Richard McCloskey
    Woman Driving Car- Marisol Puga

Scene 1: Adam is doing his laundry at the local laundry mat. He notices a young woman around his age; she seems vaguely familiar. He throws her a couple glances, but he is far too shy to actually speak to her. Suddenly, she turns to him. He looks away and starts fumbling through his clothes.

Sarah- (approaching Adam) Do you have any laundry soap?

Adam- (nervous, caught off guard) Umm..uh, what?

Sarah- Do you have any soap? Laundry soap? That I can borrow?

Adam- Oh, that..yeah. Um, yeah...sure. (he looks in his laundry basket and pulls out some laundry detergent) Here you go.

Sarah- Thank you so much, I owe you one. (she walks back to her clothes to do her laundry)

Adam- Oh, hey...it was no problem. (he starts piling all of his clothes into his basket. After he finishes, he starts to head out)

Sarah- (turning to see him leaving) Hey, your soap! (she holds up the soap and waves it in the air)

Adam- (already walking out the door and down the street) No, it's fine! Keep it! You don't owe me! (he continues down the street)

(Sarah stares as he walks away)

Scene 2: Adam carries his clothes up to his apartment. He opens the door to find his roommate Rick on the phone.

Rick- (looks up to see Adam coming through the door, and he nods at him) Uh-huh...that's what I was saying. Anyway, Adam's back, so I'll talk to you later. Uh-huh...we will. Alright man. Later. (he hangs up the phone, then sits on the couch across from Adam) Alright, everything is set.

Adam- (looks up while taking his clothes out of the basket and folding them) What do you mean, 'Everything is set?'

Rick- I just scored you a date with Samantha. (Adam gives him a stern look, but keeps folding his clothes) You know...Samantha! John's sister!

Adam- I know who she is.

    Rick- Then why the look?

    Adam- Ugh...you know why.

    Rick- Why?

    Adam- I'm not interested!

Rick- Let's not beat around the bush here; you need a girl in your life. And I mean besides your mother..

Adam- Rick, I'll find someone on my own. I don't need you to do it.

Rick- (sarcastically) And I'm supposed to believe this because you've had so many, right?

Adam- (getting annoyed) Can't you just respect that I'm trying to go at my own pace? (gets up to put his clothes away)

Rick- You're 20-years-old! You should have already had a bunch of girls by now!

Adam- I met a girl at the laundry mat. Okay? Happy now?

    Rick- (gets up) Really? Who?

Adam- Um, well...I didn't get her name.

Rick- Oh, shit... Then I'll assume you didn't get her number. Is she pretty? Do I know her?

Adam- Actually, she looked kind of familiar. I think she lives in our building.

Rick- Alright! Are you gonna talk to her again?

Adam- Honestly, I might. If I ever see her again...

Rick- Adam, I will knock on every door in this entire building just so I can find her and help make that happen.

Adam- (laughs awkwardly) Yeah, that's not necessary.

Rick- Just know that I'd do that for you. I have your back, man! (he pats Adam on the back as he walks past him into the kitchen)

(Adam continues putting his clothes away while smiling)

Scene 3: It's the next day, and Adam is leaving to go to work. He says 'Good-bye' to Rick, then heads out the door. He then makes his way down the stairs. When he reaches the bottom, he's surprised to see the girl from the laundry mat. She's checking her mail.

Sarah- (turning to see Adam coming down the stairs) Oh, hey! You're the soap guy from the laundry mat!

Adam- (smiles) Yeah...I am. Hi. Uh, how are you?

Sarah- I'm fine. Do you live here?

    Adam- Oh, yeah.

Sarah- How cool! We live in the same building together! I never even knew... But now that I think about it, you did look familiar.

Adam- (still smiling, kind of awkwardly now) Yeah...cool.

Sarah- Hey, I still owe you for that soap!

    Adam- No, really...it's fine.

Sarah- Oh, c'mon. Let me buy you a cup of coffee. You like coffee, right? Because there's this place close by that I always go to, and they're really good.

    Adam- Um, I would, but..

    Sarah- But what?

    Adam- I can't.

    Sarah- You can't? Why?

Adam- I just..I can't right now. Sorry. (he looks really nervous, and he walks past her towards the door)

Sarah- Can I at least get your name?

    Adam- It's Adam. Adam Young.

Sarah- My name is Sarah. Sarah Jane. (she reaches her hand out to shake his. He shakes her hand) Nice to properly meet you.

    Adam- Yeah, nice.

Sarah- Are you sure you can't get some coffee with me? I'll feel really bad if I can't repay you.

    Adam- (looks uncertain) Uh...

Sarah- Do you want me to feel bad?

    Adam- Well, no...

    Sarah- Then say yes!

Adam- Okay, okay...yes. Yes, you can buy me some coffee.

Sarah- Finally! Alright. I've never had to work that hard before! (she grabs his hand and pulls him out the door) You're gonna love it.

Scene 4: Sarah and Adam are drinking coffee at a cafe. They're getting to know each other, and Adam now feels much more confident around her.

Sarah- (laughing) And he's your roommate?

Adam- (also laughing) Yes! But he really does mean well.

Sarah- Oh, I know. He sounds like a nice guy. Maybe I can meet him. (trying to give him a hint with her voice)

Adam- (looks nervous again) Oh, do you want to come back to my apartment with me?

    Sarah- I'd love to...

Adam- ...We can watch movies, or something...

Sarah- (she smiles, and gently laughs while grabbing his hand) I said I'd love to. (Adam just smiles back) But right now I have to get going. If I miss the bus, I'll be late to the hospital. The other nurses get really mad when I'm late. (she looks at her watch, then starts getting up to leave) I'm really sorry to cut this short, but I lost track of the time!

    Adam- It's okay.

Sarah- I get out at eight. Can I meet you around nine-ish?

Adam- Oh, tonight? Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's perfect.

Sarah- Okay, it's a date! (she starts heading out, and Adam follows closely behind. They walk outside, and Sarah stops to say good-bye.)
Shit, that's my bus coming. I need to get across the street.

    Adam- Okay.

Sarah- Bye! I'll see you tonight.

Adam- (sounding and looking kind of sad) See you then. Bye.

(Sarah walks away, and Adam turns and starts heading in the opposite direction. Suddenly, Sarah rushes back and hugs Adam while giving him a kiss on the cheek. Even she looks surprised.)

Sarah- Okay, I really have to go now. Bye!

Adam- (Is smiling, but looks stunned) Okay, bye.

(Adam starts walking down the street. He smiles as he walks away. Behind him, Sarah runs across the street. Suddenly, there is the sound of screeching tires. Adam stops, and gets a scared look on his face. He turns back towards Sarah, but he's afraid to. He runs to the corner where she just was, and to his horror she has been struck by a car. Her lifeless body is laying in front of a woman's car. The woman gets out, and she is screaming hysterically. She gets on her phone and tries to explain the situation to the 911 operator. Adam just stares horrified and in shock. As he stares, tears stream down his face.)

Review: Children of Men (no spoilers at all...it's better that way)
If you don't want anything spoiled at all (and for this you really won't), then just know that 'Children of Men' is the best film of the year. I've yet to see some of the other higher profile films, but I'm so dumbfounded by this film that I highly doubt any other can surpass it. Please, please, please see it, and in theaters if you can. A 10/10 for sure. Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Michael Caine and new-comer Clare-Hope Ashitey all soar in their respective roles. Director Alfonso Cuaron (Y Tu Mama Tambien, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) creates such a terrifying and highly realistic future, you really can't help but be drawn in to the action that unfolds in this beautiful, sometimes quiet, often angry film. I've always really liked Cuaron, but he reaches a new level here. The cinematography is also beautiful, with such a soft look often accompanying such dark scenes. This is a masterpiece. Great acting, fantastic direction, a compelling and important story that's supported by a very solid script, and a message that couldn't have come at a better time, this film makes the 2006 film year worth the journey.

    Letter....and stuff!!!
Comment and I'll give you a letter; then you have to list 10 things you love that begin with that letter. After, post this in your journal, and give out some letters of your own. Let me know if you want a letter.

Superman!!! LOL..j/k...I hate him. Worst comic book hero ever. Anyways, I do love Spider-Man however. So...Spider-Men is numero uno.

Sponges. They're great for slapping Weston in the face!

Steven Spielberg. I idolize and adore him.

Streep....as in Meryl Streep. I love her!! For a wickedly funny performance, catch her in 'The Devil Wears Prada'.

Sunshine...and movies with the word 'sunshine' in the title, like 'Little Miss Sunshine' and 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'.

Stripping. It's sexy when I do it, it's sexy when other people do it. In fact, everyone should strip more often.

South Park. It's still funny ten seasons later, and just as smart as ever.

    Sex. Well...self explanitory.

Sillyness. It's what I do best, it makes the world go round. You can't have enough sillyness.

    Sandwiches. Mmmm...tasty.
